Every year, the Junior College students of Kairos Gracia Christian School help build houses for the poor in partnership with Habitat for Humanity. Not all young Indonesians are apathetic. It was proven that there are still a lot of young people who care about the circumstances around them. They take the courage to be responsible and useful youth by joining the 28uild.id Movement or to build Indonesia.

These young people work together to build homes for low-income families, and improve the village roads of Kampung Muara, Babakan Madang, Bogor District as well as in Mauk, Tangerang.

With the theme "Aku Bangun Indonesia", the movement organized Habitat for Humanity Indonesia aims to refresh the spirit of nationalism Youth Pledge of 28th October 1928. 28uild.id is also designed to give young volunteers a chance to get involved and directly involved in caring for young people of the same age, yet different status in life, culture, background and daily living.

Habitat for Humanity’s target community income only around Rp 20,000 per day, just enough to live in a house with dirt floors, rotted and damaged walls, without adequate sanitation facilities. Therefore, this movement aims to cultivate the spirit of pioneering young generation like the generation of 1928 used to care about the fate and future of the nation.

Since Kairos Gracia Christian School’s vision is to reflect God’s love to the community, it is appropriate that young people of Kairos Gracia Christian School take an active part in building Indonesia.

The Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) was founded in 1978 when several regional U.S. school associations joined, becoming a united voice to advance excellence in Christian education. The leaders’ vision was to inspire, challenge, and resource educators and schools. First headquartered in La Habra, California, ACSI moved to an expanded facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 1994. Today, ACSI serves nearly 24,000 schools in more than 100 countries.

A key part of ACSI's mission is to strengthen schools, and we do that by offering a variety of programs. You'll find links to information about each here, along with details concerning our customized services for early education and higher education programs.
